The Kulinji association is located in Milange district, 374km far from the provincial capital of Quelimane, which aims to help the rural communities of Matope, Mataje-Ivile, Nkwera and Magwela.
The association has developed this project to support the residents of the communities of Matope and Mataje Ivile, who are vulnerable and are facing the problem of lack of transportation.
Unfortunately, most of the residents live only from agriculture and the sale of coal, and have to walk between 10 to 25 km, with their products on their heads, when they can't bear the weight of them, they end up spending between 60 to 100 meticais on renting a cab bicycle to reach the Milange market to sell their products, a high value that ultimately affects both the income of their business and also the livelihood of their families.
More difficult is when they have to accompany their sick relatives, pregnant women to the health center, which is 18km or more away to make treatments, make monthly checks and receive medication, which put their lives at risk.
This campaign aims to raise 25 bicycles for the residents of these communities, where the bicycle will help them move more easily and quickly, reduce the cost of transportation, and will also help support other people in the community when they urgently need to go to the health center or to the field.
