Since 2017, CAM has been working to adopt a gender approach in all its areas of intervention. In 2018 began a continuous training program involving 11 leading women in the communities of the CAIA district, thanks to the support of the group of women of ideas sharing of Sofala-GMPIS. The skills focus on gender and equal opportunities concepts and themes. These women also work making replicas and small-actions at Community level designed to promote these actions. For the training, participatory and technical methodologies are used that enable the self and the strengthening of the skills and motivations for the action. These women, who then represent a "mobile antenna", for the community, proposing and developing: • Awareness-raising activities on women's rights and health, organized in collaboration with the mother-to-mother theatrical group, the Mbaticoyane Association, which operates in the area of health, the district administration and others; • Connections with resources operating in the area of social services, health and defense of women, offering women in the neighborhoods information on active services by local administration and local or international associations operating in the district; • Activities of advice on gender violence or, more generally, on women's rights.
