The Sacatucua Association, based in Caia district was founded in 2003 and develops activities such as community awareness in the area of HIV and associated pathologies, counseling couples, youth and adolescents to ATS (Counseling and Testing in Health), family planning, male circumcision and support to vulnerable groups like orphans and children, adolescents and widows.
Sacatucua has 29 members of which 23 are activists, 2 supervisors, 1 project officer, 1 accountant, 1 coordinator and 1 president.
These activists and supervisors carry out their activities in 26 different areas and have to cover distances that vary from 5 to 25 km and on rainy days there are bigger difficulties to reach all those areas due to the access routes that make it difficult to walk.
The aim of this campaign is to raise 25 bicycles for the Sacatucua Association, to allow activists and supervisors to shorten their travel time, so as to streamline their activities and more aid to the community.
This campaign will provide:
- 25 Bicycles for secondary students
- Transport
- Spare parts and accessories
- Basic training on bicycle care and maintenance
